Life recently has been incredibly stressful and hectic here recently, especially with my recent illness. To make things a little easier I will not be offering custom orders anymore, at least for now. Instead, I will be concentrating on other parts of my inventory, such as stationery accessories, greeting cards and ready-to-ship note card sets. Come fall, I will begin offering custom orders again, and will have some new designs for the upcoming seasons.
Right now I'm working on Mother's Day cards, since that's the next holiday coming up, and those who purchase my Mother's Day cards will receive a coupon code for their Father's Day card (Which I also need to get started on). Also, when you buy a Mother's Day card from my shop, you will receive a coupon code for 15% off your Father's Day card purchase.
I'm also trying to sell locally. There's a Facebook page called Porterville Buy and Sell where members of the community post pictures and posts of things they are selling or looking for. The most popular posts are for holidays so I'm hoping to get some extra revenue by putting a few posts on there. If you sell handmade goods, look for community pages on Facebook that are for selling things, I've made a lot of extra cash selling things I no longer wanted or needed, so now I'm going to try my hand at selling my cards.

Friday's Faves #9
Friday's Faves Theme: Mother's Day
With Mother's Day right around the corner, I thought today's theme was very appropriate. I hope you'll find the perfect gift for the Mom in your life! (Or maybe drop a hint to the hubby for?)

DIY Foot Scrub
Some of you might remember my DIY brown sugar body scrub. As much as I like using this scrub myself I felt it wasn't strong enough to give the attention certain places REALLY needed, such as my feet.
I don't know anyone who doesn't have a problem with dry, callused feet especially at the end of winter and who wants to show off those toesies when it's sandal season? Many of us seek professional help, other's just walk out in sandals as is and many of us just hide them, am I right? So, I created a DIY foot scrub and it really helped!
1/2 cup Brown Sugar
2/3 cup Olive oil or almond oil
Jar or two
Measure out your dry ingredients and pour them into a bowl then measure out your 2/3 cup of oil of choice and mix well. Once it's mixed and the clumps of brown sugar are de-clumped, pour into your jar over the sink so as not to make a mess everywhere, and VOILA! Your homemade foot scrub.
I suggest using this with your feet either dry or slightly damp, you can try it in the shower but it seems to dissolve too quickly to really make too much of a difference. Be sure to rinse. Make sure there are no open sores on your feet as the salt will cause the sore to burn.
With Mother's Day coming up, this would make a very nice gift for the Mom in your life, just tie some twine or a nice ribbon around and attach a lovely note and there you go!

Ingredients:
1/2 cup Course Salt1/2 cup Brown Sugar
2/3 cup Olive oil or almond oil

Tip:
For even softer feet, use the scrub before going to bed, rinse and pat dry. Then rub just olive oil over your feet, wrap in cellophane and then cover with a sock and go to sleep, your feet should be sooo much softer when you get up in the morning and ready for a little nail polish!

Some new stuff for ya!
I've got some new items this week, as promised.
First up, is my new thank you card set, "Many Thanks." I think this one is my favorite so far. It's available in teal, black, blue and pink and I will soon be offering it in purple!
In addition to that, I'm also now offering my original Thank You set in the same colors, you can view them here
Teal
Black
Blue
I also created a new monogram set. It's very simple. If your not fond of the heart I can replace it with a circle or square. The monogram can be done in teal, black, blue or pink, so it can be really customized.
And for Mother's Day, I created a beautiful green card with "Happy Mother's Day" stamped in gold. In each corner I embossed a flower design and I added a ribbon as that final touch. I will be adding more Mother's Day cards soon and then it's on to Father's Day!
