New stationery sets are coming!

Here's a hint for one of my new designs
Aren't you excited? I am! Since I'm on "vacation" until my resealable glue comes in, I'm going to put my spare time to good use by designing new stationery sets and photographing them for when I can put them on Etsy. At least one of them will be monogrammed, another one will be patterned, and of course, free shipping on orders over $30.

During this time I hope to get more organized. After doing 175 cards and assembling 175 envelopes within a short time, I've learned that I should probably keep some pre-made envelopes and already cut cards on hand for major orders. Which is another thing on my to-do list for the week.

Oh! I just cannot wait to show you all my new little beauties!

Healthy Monday #2

Ugg... I gained two pounds (134). The past couple of weeks I haven't been able to go to the gym much because I've been so busy with this huge order, which is finally done! Yay! So, it's back to the gym and back to trying to eat healthy for me.

Does anyone else go to the gym or some kind of exercise? What do you feel really helps you? What keeps you motivated?

What keeps me motivated is my iPod. As long as I have good music I can keep moving for hours (I don't exercise for hours though, I have a baby waiting for me you know!)

Not much to say for today

Pretty Pink Thank You's
Hello my friends, just wanted to let you know that this week might be slow on my blog. I've recieved two large orders that I need to work on this week. One is for my set of monogrammed cards and the other is for a set of my pretty, pink, thank you cards.

Monogrammed Cards
I also have some really exciting news, you may not find it so exciting but I just had to share. Yesterday I was contacted through Etsy by a woman who is opening an online store with items from etsy sellers, she wants 52 note cards. I know its a good opportunity but I keep going back and forth.

Pros:
1. It gets my name out there more
2.It's a large order and would help out a LOT

Cons:
1. Her style doesn't match my style
2. I'm wanting to do this slowly since I'm starting school in summer and hope to get a job, if I agree to this I may become overwhelmed with too many orders

I don't know what to do. Any insight to those who have experience with selling?

Monday's child is fair of face

... I was born on a Monday. Yay! My face is fair... Thats a good thing right?

Anyway, my weekend was great. Friday evening Tim, Tessa's Dad, came down from San Fransisco to visit for the weekend. He was helping me keep our little darling awake until my sister and her family got there so they could see her immediately instead of having to wait until morning. I must say, that was the quickest hug I've ever gotten from my sister and I have never seen a woman scoop up a baby as fast as she did, well except for maybe Angelina Jolie.

Saturday, I went out early with Tim to get donuts for every one (Thank you Tim for buying us breakfast!). After breakfast us girls made ourselves beautiful in between turns while we played Quelf, which is a very fun and silly game by the way, a definite must. That after noon, my sister, my niece and I went shopping at Khols for an Easter dress for Tessa and it is so cute! I also found a dress for myself while my sister found some "unmentionables" *nudge nudge* *wink wink.*

Sunday, my sister and her family and Tim joined us for church. Tim and I spent most of it in the nursery trying to get Tessa happy. It was a great weekend and I'm so happy everyone came. Our house is dirty, I can't walk in my room and I'm exhausted but it was totally worth it.

Tell me about your weekend!

A VERY filled weekend

This weekend, Tessa's dad is coming down from San Fransisco for the weekend to visit; and if my nephew is feeling better, so is my sister, her husband and their four kids.

If my sister's family can make it, us girls are suppose to do a little shopping. If she isn't able to come I may be able to talk Tim into going to the antique showcase in Bakersfield and perhaps visit my brother as well. Sunday, I may try to relax from all the cleaning I've been doing.

So what are your exciting plans for this weekend my readers?

Back to the Drawing Board...

Yesterday, I made a blog post about a DIY project from this weekend, and after about a day of using my seat cover, it broke. One of the straps popped out of its seam. So, I will be removing that from the DIY page.

I have a better idea for a cover now, however I won't have time this week. This week I'll be doing a lot of cleaning since this weekend my sister, her husband, their four kids and Tessa's Dad will be coming in this weekend to visit. Its going to get crowded.

TiIIIIiiiime is on my side, yes it is! *singing*

I will admit that I waste time more than I like to, who doesn't?

When I got up this morning to check up on my Etsy store (still no sales, but "I will survive!" okay, no more song quotes...for today :P ), as always, I also checked to see what was new in the Etsy blog and found this really good, eye opening article about how much time gets wasted each day doing silly things. For example, I spend way too much time on Facebook, watching T.V or getting my eye fill of all the beautiful goodies Etsy has to offer. Yes, there is such a thing as spending too much time on Etsy. But there are times when its okay to be doing all these things. I use Facebook to advertise my store and my blog and sometimes I have conversations with people on there. I like to watch the Food Network and it inspires me to get creative with my eating and browsing Etsy inspires me in my own creations.

"There are taboos against wasting life, and wasting time is just wasting your life minute by minute."*
Today, I think I'm going to try my own little experiment. I'm going to try to not waste time and write down in my little notebook of when I do. I soon as I click on "publish post" I am going to get up, get dressed and begin my day as I had planned out in my head yesterday. I'm going to turn off the T.V. and the computer. I challenge you to do the same.

Busy, Busy, Busy...

So much to do and so little time to do it!

For starters I listed another monogram card today, this time its the letter C, tomorrow I will be listing a ten-card set of the letter A.

On that note, I need to make envelopes for the Ten-card set of the letter B and start working on my C set. On top of that I need to make another template for my friends wedding invites before this weekend and then there's the gym...

What do you guys do to stay organized? Especially all you mom's out there?

Happy Sunday and Happy Birthday!

Lovely, no?
Things change so much when you get older. When your young you have little birthday parties and invite all your friends to eat dessert and play silly games. And then when your adult you go out to dinner with friends or family or you still have a party but the celebrating is different. Last weekend my brother came up from Bakersfield and took us out to dinner for my birthday. Yesterday, to my surprise a very good friend sent a gift to me. Perhaps you've heard of it, its a silly board game called Quelf. I can't wait to play it. This morning I awoke to a very lovely, touching card and birthday money from my Mom which I used to purchase a very beautiful dress that I can't wait to wear!

My last post I said I would attempt to make a brag book for my Mom based on a project posted on Design*Sponge . It took all day yesterday and came out good, if I do say so myself  (But I know I can do better). However, I was unable to find the time to take pictures; BUT I do have this awesome photo to post for you; its my attempt at sewing a straight line.
I'm terrible at sewing

Rain rain go away...

As someone who likes to take product photos outside in the natural light; I really hate the rain. I don't know what it looks like from where you guys are but here it's been so gloomy. The last few days have been so gloomy and foggy and now today its raining. I'd use this time to make some cards but my mojo ran away from me. What do you guys do to get inspired? I could use some help here.

On a more positive note; I joined a gym yesterday! So tomorrow when my "babysitter" (Mom) is available I'm off to the gym to get back to my pre-baby body. I'm very excited, call me crazy but I enjoy exercising. I have to force myself to go but once I'm there I'm as happy as a clam and I feel so good about myself after, I feel like I could take on the world!
