I now weigh 131! Which Means since last week I've lost two pounds. I would love to lose a couple of more this week before Easter; my goal is to get under 130 by then.
I think what's helped is that I've started riding my bike a little every day, even if it's just around the neighborhood. Also, I've started drinking two cups of coffee in the morning; supposedly, caffeine helps boost metabolism (followed up by TONS of water)

I have a question for you bike riders out there. I really like hats, specifically fedoras and I would like to wear them more including on my bike rides but I feel like they'll fly away, especially on main roads with cars zipping by. So how do you keep it on? Any ideas?

I received my lovely little bell Saturday, March 12th while my family was here so I didn't get a chance to check it out much. I did get it attached to my bike the next day though. Its a nice bright red with the letter "E" for Elissa on it, in the same color. It attaches like your basic bike bell and has a nice little chime. I love it. It's very me and is super cute. I like this seat. But it doesn't have be just used as a replacement for your old Schwinn bicycle seat. I'm picturing a bright, yellow, painted wall, with this seat and other vintage bicycle paraphernalia hanging on it, maybe some wheels, an old biking poster here, there, bicycle basket with some flowers... As for my last piece, I thought I'd throw this beauty in. Its a custom bike seat by CarsonLehDesign. This would be a nice little treat for yourself or as a very special gift to a loved one. So what did my readers do this weekend? This weekend I spent every spare moment teaching myself how to ride my somewhat-new Huffy. Its so pretty... I shall call her, Veronica. Such a lovely name, don't you think?
Yes, I know, I am twenty-two years old with a baby and I am just NOW learning to ride. I just didn't have the patience nor the drive to teach myself, and neither did my parents, which was a shame since they had bought me a used bike fixed up nice for me. I wonder what happened to that bike? No matter.
Since being an adult and not being able to ride a bike was (notice I said was, because now I CAN ride) humiliating, I tried to teach myself on our too small back patio, but I just kept falling over. I had been at this for an hour, finally I sucked up my pride and asked my mommy for help. She gave me some pointers and after a while I was able to push myself forward and stay balanced. But the back patio just wasn't big enough to try and pedal a good enough distance to get the hang of it. So, under the cover of darkness, I quietly crept into the street. "Gasp! The neighbor is outside smoking... Drat, my plans have been soiled!" Okay, not that dramatic maybe, but the neighbor WAS smoking outside so I pretended to be sitting up on my bike observing the constellations; by the way, Orion is looking very nice these winter months. But enough of that. After just a few tries I was able to ride a good distance but I weebled and I wobbled and then I fell down. But I was so proud of myself! Now after, tonight, as long as I go straight and try not to turn, I can ride a bike just fine!
