I love being featured

"What comes around, goes around," "You scratch my back, I'll scratch yours," "karma"...

Yesterday morning I posted Friday's Faves #2 featuring VEILEDcustommade's Jane; an upcycled, minty green clutch bag. Not too long after, I received a message from the owners of VEILED, expressing their gratitude with a link guiding me to their blog where one of MY item had been featured as a thank you gesture.

One of my friends is always talking about how networking is important because as the saying goes, "it's not what you know, it's who you know." By networking and making friends with fellow artists who knows so-and-so who knows so-and-so your gaining exposure. I had no clue that posting this Friday's Faves would lead me to being featured on a blog, all I knew was that I enjoyed doing Friday's Faves and that they are my most popular posts. See people? There's no need to be greedy, share the love!

Sadie Designs

Happy Valentine's Day every one, or as its become known to us single people, Singles Awareness Day; or SAD. But don't be sad! Just because it's the day of couples, amour, love, candy, flowers, cards, jewelry... Well Okay, you get the idea. You didn't get anything either huh? Yeah, I feel ya... But hey, why not use Valentine's Day to celebrate the love for your hot self? And what better way to do that than buying yourself a gift that will make you even more awesome?

Sadie Designs is a shop on the wonderful, all cool Etsy and would be a great stop to pick yourself up a little somethin' somethin' for yourself on Valentine's Day. Stationed in Vancouver, Canada, Sadie Designs' jewelry uses a lot of natural elements such as amethyst or birch.

One of my personal favorite pieces from the shop is this raw copper necklace made from, you guessed it, copper. Attached to it is a 24in gunmetal chain and lobster clasp. This is a very unique piece and you will never find one exactly like it anywhere, in fact, on Etsy, there is barely any free form copper necklaces. You can have this piece all to yourself for $32.00 in American dollars (Not counting shipping and handling).

Don't want a necklace? No problem. Sadie Designs also includes earrings in its collection made from sterling silver and baltic birch like these earrings . I think they are beautiful.

You can also find Sadie Design's pieces at these locations:

A little talk, a little reminder

New listing today!
More and more I find myself going back to my first love; photography. The more I take photos of my products the more I realize how much that part of the process is my favorite step before listing. I love making my cards, don't get me wrong, but the fun part is seeing them really come to life on my computer when I'm editing the photo's. Occasionally, I edit a single photo more than once; I'll save it, edit it again, save it... Maybe just one more time? Oh ok! Ctrl + s. I remember when I was applying to Brooks Institute of Photography I had to write an essay about why I wanted to be a photographer. I wrote, "Photography is my addiction and that finished product is my high." To this day it still is.

Just a reminder, I am looking for someone to interview for my blog.

You must:

1. Be an etsy seller

2. Have great photos and great products

If your interested you must email me your etsy store and blog URL to littlemisscards@hotmail.com. Do no leave your information in the comments, it will not be accepted. Thankyou.

Looking for that special someone

No, I am not posting this hoping to find the love of my life (You thought, you thought!). No, I am posting this because I really want to interview an etsy seller, specifically someone who meets these requirements:

1. Has to be an etsy seller, doesn't matter what your selling
2. Great products, great photos

I get about 36 page views a day, thats about 1,116 views in a month! You could get a lot of exposure. And don't worry, I don't give nasty reviews, if I have nothing nice to say then I won't say anything at all.

So, if your interested, email me at littlemisscards@hotmail.com. Include your shop name and why you think you should be interviewed.

If you do not get chosen, there will be other opportunities to be reviewed. If you have a blog you can join the etsy team Bloggers Unite! Where other bloggers say nice things about your blog, your store, or a specific item.

I will stop accepting entries on February 28th.

Good luck ya'll!
